The birth of C.O.M.S. S.r.l. (Carpenteria Officina Meccanica Specializzata) dates back to 1978. It was founded in Cividate Camuno, Valle Camonica (BS – Italy), a land whose history has been related to iron working for centuries.

Within few years, C.O.M.S. gained a significant position in the field of medium-heavy steelwork with specialized productions such as: industrial water treatment systems, turnkey industrial buildings, furnaces with movable side members and all sorts of steel made designed products.

It stands out for high quality and reliability of its goods, that’s why nowadays it is a leading company in the national and international steelwork field.

Although the company has lately been specializing in crane components, many other complex projects have been taken in charge; some remarkable examples are the production of 20.000 rods realized for Fiera di Milano’s pavilions and the Wind Tunnel in Maranello, designed by Renzo Piano, to evaluate Ferrari’s Touring and F1 vehicles’ performances.

C.O.M.S. develops its activities in departments of carpentry (cutting, assemblage and welding) and sandblasting/painting, on a total area of 20.000 m2, of which 7.000 m2 under cover.

In August 2021 C.O.M.S moved to Esine (BS) where the new headquarters of the offices was entirely designed by the same company.
