C.O.M.S. considered essential to set up an internal system of quality management, in accordance with the UNI EN ISO 9001.
The objectives that the company aims is to implement the elements of the management system to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of its production processes.
The importance attached by the Company to its welding process led COMS to develop operational methods according to UNI EN ISO 3834-2 – Quality requirements for welding. The system adopted by the organization for many years ensures that the business of welding is carried out by qualified personnel under the direction of a Head of Welding (RSA).
The entry into force of the Ministerial Decree 14.1.2008, constituent text of Act One of the new Technical Regulations for Construction, has effectively imposed on all manufacturers of steel, and therefore also to COMS, accreditation from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport as Center Transformation Certificate.
As of July 1, 2014 has also become compulsory for all producers of steel and aluminum, the implementation of the CE marking according to EN 1090-1, which describes the requirements and procedures for the affixing of the CE marking according to Regulation (EU) No. 305/2011.
C.O.M.S. was among the first steel structures in Italy to certify its Factory production control (FPC) in accordance with EN 1090-2.
